Has it Really Been a Year?

For those of you who had been following my blog I do have to apologize. I did not plan to stop blogging. Life had other ideas though...

My computer died in last January. Going from my ancient machine to a top of the line new model was an extreme adjustment. I'm still not really sure how to use Windows 8. My job became much more demanding which did leave to a promotion, but also a LOT more stress. I really did not do much gardening just planted some flowers and some greens and herbs in pots.

Things on the Mountain have finally started to go back to normal. This passed week I have been catching on my favorite blogs. A post from Grannie of Annie's Kitchen Garden fame made me decide to reactivate my Blogger account.

I have really don't need to by any seeds this year as most of last years never got planted.

I guess I'm back!

  1. Good to see you back. Sorry last year was so challenging. Luckily, you can start fresh with gardening each year. Maybe blogging again will help you get used to your new computer.

    1. Rachel, thank you, it is good to be back. I'm used to the computer now. I have to get reacquainted with Blogger though. I'm looking forward to a great gardening year.

  2. I am so HAPPY you are back! And blogging! Hey, if old Granny can learn Windows 8, I'm sure you can. It's really not so bad once you get used to it, which only takes a year or two ;-) When you stopped blogging I felt like I'd lost my best friend. I really worried that something horrible had happened, because my Ed would never just stop with no explanation. Did I mention how happy I am that you're back?

    1. One year later, I'm used to Windows 8. I feel so bad that I had you so worried! Your blog is still inspiring me though. I still have a few months from last year to catch up on. Not mention the too many Italian onion varieties I purchased last year that have to be sown this week. At least I don't need to by any seeds this year, LOL. You know I will buy some anyway...

  3. So glad to see you back! We (especially Granny) were quite concerned that you stopped blogging so suddenly. Oh, I hate Windows 8!!! I downloaded classic shell. That makes it a lot easier to use.Welcome back!

    1. Thank you Robin! Windows 8 and I are at least on speaking terms at this point and someday I will actually find the program menu! I am just not an app person. Are you still blogging? I notice that your blog has not been updated for a while.

  4. Welcome back. I got a new computer at the end of December and elected to get Windows 7. Windows 8 is a pain. It really is made for the small devices and doesn't work so well on a desktop. And congrats on your promotion.

  5. Thanks Daphne! I'm getting more and more familiar with it. There are some things about it I really like. Getting used to an app based format has been a real challenge.
