The Late June Garden Part 2= The Driveway Bed

The driveway bed been growing like gangbusters since the last pics were taken.
Above, overview of the driveway bed.  My cousins do not agree, but I think it looks more attractive than the flowers I used to plant here.  Of course they will change there minds when the harvest starts coming in.

The eggplants should be in flower soon, the peppers are loaded with buds and have begun to bloom and the tomatoes have loads of flowers.  The annual flowers tucked in for color should be blooming soon as well.

  1. Beauty and functionality, that is the best of both worlds. You should have plenty of peppers and tomatoes soon. I can taste the salsa already.

  2. Now being a flower person myself, I might join your cousins in mourning the loss of all those blooms. I'm not going to however, as I do think your vegie bed is fantastic. You've got such a wonderful variety of plants and I'm sure you'll enjoy the harvest ever so much.

  4. Kris- Hadn't thought about fresh salsa, maybe I'll try it with basil instead of cilantro.

Bernie- After looking at that picture from last year I'm wondering if I can squeeze in a few of my unending supply of zinnia seedlings.

Granny- Thanks! I'm really impressed with it's looks and with it's growth. Maybe I should start another bed on the other side of the driveway, LOL!
