July Blooms

Some of what is blooming around the garden.

Pale yellow and red striped 'Bon Bon' zinnia.

'Salmon Sunset' four o'clock.  These plants survived the mild winter.

Enormous umbel of flowers on one the 'Ruby' lettuce being saved for seed.  It looks like this produce thousands of seeds!

  1. Yeah lettuce really produces a lot of seed. Cleaning is a PITA, but you get seed for years. Those four o'clocks look just lovely.

    1. Daphne, I've never had lettuce set seed the way these two plants did. Barring any weathr disasters I should be set for life.

      The four 0'clocks are great this year. Unlike most other varieties this one comes true from saved seed.
