Harvest Monday- September 3, 2012

Harvest Monday is hosted by Daphne's Dandelions. It's a great way to see what other bloggers are harvesting from their gardens.

The weather this week was great.  I really am enjoying the cooler evenings.

'Qhadratti D'asti Giallo' peppers, 'Coastal Pride Orange' and 'New Big Dwarf' tomatoes.

Assorted tomatoes and pole beans.
'Diva' cucumbers and pole beans.

A misshapen pepper and assorted tomatoes.

'Snowberry' cherry tomatoes, 'Coastal Pride Orange' and assorted cherry tomatoes.

'Red Marconi' peppers. 'Coastal Pride Orange' tomato and 'Diva' cucumbers.

The cucumbers are starting to succumb to wilt.  I may be able to harvest a few more before the plants totally succumb.  The cherry tomatoes are succumbing to wilt as well.  The exception is my self seeding 'Snowberry'.  This has hundreds of tomatoes on it and is completely healthy.

  1. Look at all those beautiful tomatoes and peppers. Glad to hear it is cooling down for you a bit. We are hopeing to squeeze a little more sunshine and moderate warmth yet out of the late summer season because we did not get much heat to speak of and need the warmth and sunshine to ripen up some of our tomatoes. We each have our garden challenges it seems.

    1. Indeed we do each have our challenges. My tomato harvest would be double, but I have been having a problem with tiny worms that are burrowing into the area where the fruit attaches. This is a brand new bug for me.

I hope that you can squeeze in a few nice days to ripen your tomatoes!

  2. Beautiful harvest! those peppers, tomatoes and cucumbers look wonderful. I'm all done with cucumbers for now and some of the last tomatoes are trickling in. Now just have to wait for fall garden to start producing. And enjoy cooler weather :)

  3. What a great harvest week you've had! I just wish we were having cooler weather! If it doesn't cool off soon I am going to have a big hungry gap this fall!

  5. Those cukes look so perfect. I miss having cukes right now. I did harvest some last week, but I don't see any new ones forming on the last plant left alive.
