Stop by and check out who's harvesting what this week.

Above, it's only fitting that this weeks harvest should be displayed on a harvest table.
.Above, this weeks pole bean harvest 'Rattlesnake','Gold of Bacou', 'Potomac', 'Blue Coco' and 'Cornetto Largo Verde'

Above, bush beans 'Masai', 'Beurre de Rocquencourt' and 'Slenderette'

The bean harvest is starting to slow down now that the temp's are getting a bit more seasonal. There are loads of little peppers that I'll be watching closely and the lettuce is starting to size up nicely. I'm shocked at how well my 'Evergreen' parsley has done this year. The leaves are much larger than 'Gigante d'Italia. The parsley in the photo above is just one small section from an 'Evergreen' stem.
The beans look tasty! Do you ever plant extra parsley for the swallowtail butterfly caterpillars? They love curly parsley. :0)
ReplyDeleteI did a double take on that table! Great looking beans!
ReplyDeleteI really need to pull out my fall decorations before winter sets in! LOL!
ReplyDeleteHow fun that you are still getting bean harvests. Our bean harvests are done for the year and I look forward to their return next year - such a great garden crop.
TS- The swallowtails are the main reason I plant curly parsley. I've never had it grow this well.
ReplyDeletethyme2garden- The table does not get used for dining, it is a glass tabe that's not mounted on the legs and flips quite easily! It get's "set" between October and April.
kitsapFG- I'm surpiresed I'm still getting such a good bean harvest, but it is slowing down. I'm looking forward to next years beans as well, I've already got a few new ones I plan to try.
The harvest is nice but may I say that I love your dishes. Beans were slow to produce around these parts for some reason this year so they kept producing longer than normal too.
ReplyDeleteIt has been a good year for parsley for me too. I have no clue why, but I have to keep cutting it back so it won't take over all its neighbors.
